
Refund Policy
Effective Date: March 15th, 2026
At Valley Postal Inc., we want our customers to feel well taken care of. Because we provide a mix of retail products and service-based transactions, refund eligibility depends on the type of purchase.
1. Shipping, Postage, and Carrier Charges
Shipping charges, postage, carrier fees, and related service fees are generally non-refundable once the shipment has been processed or accepted by the carrier, except in cases where a refund is approved by the carrier.
Insurance and Liability
To better protect your shipments, we offer the option to add extra insurance and secure repackaging for most handled goods.

Exclusions: Extra insurance is not available for regular mail or items prohibited by insurance guidelines (including, but not limited to: gift certificates, coins, stock certificates, etc.).

Customer Election: If a customer chooses to forgo these additional services, Valley Postal Inc. will not be liable for any costs or losses exceeding the carrier's basic coverage.
Claims Processing
Utilizing our professional packing and insurance services allows us to properly file and advocate for shipment claims with carriers on your behalf. Please note that we are not liable for damages, delays, or loss claims that are denied by the carrier once the package has entered their possession, particularly for items not packed by our staff.
2. Packing Services
Packing labor and packing materials used in connection with a completed shipment are non-refundable unless a claim submitted to the carrier is approved.
3. Notary Services
Notary service fees are non-refundable once the notarial service has been completed. While fees remain non-refundable, it is our policy to reprocess the notary at no additional cost. Please contact the employee who notarized your document as soon as possible so that there are no delays.
4. Passport Photos
Passport photo fees are non-refundable once the photos have been taken and provided. In the event that the passport office rejects your passport application photo we offer free retakes with receipt of rejection.
5. Copy, Print, Fax, Lamination, and Other Completed Services
Completed copy, print, fax, lamination, shredding, key copying, and similar service transactions are generally non-refundable once the service has been performed, unless there was an error caused by Valley Postal Inc.
Some exceptions are allowed for key duplication in the event that the key cut does not work in the lock. We will first attempt to fix the original copy that was cut using the original and then if we are unable to fix it we will recut the key. If the issue cannot be resolved after reasonable attempts we will issue a refund.
6. Mailbox Rentals
Mailbox rental fees, setup fees, and related mailbox service charges are generally non-refundable once the mailbox has been activated, except where required by law or approved by management.
7. Retail Merchandise
Unused retail merchandise may be eligible for return or exchange within [2 weeks] of purchase with the original receipt, in original condition, and in original packaging, subject to management approval.
The following items are final sale unless required otherwise by law:

Opened or used merchandise,

Personalized or custom items,

Seasonal or clearance items marked final sale,

Gift cards,

Special-order items.
8. Damaged or Incorrect Retail Items
If you receive a retail item that is defective or incorrect, please contact or visit us promptly so we can review the issue and, where appropriate, offer an exchange, store credit, or refund.
9. How Refunds Are Issued
Approved refunds are typically issued to the original payment method. If that is not possible, store credit may be issued.
